a couple of hours playing in monster surf using unfamiliar kit, as i was testing some new toys thanks to Powerkiteshop,

In hindsight i should have stayed on familiar kit as the waves and amount of moving water was big and fast, luckily no major dunking as i stayed inj the shallows, venturing out now and again to be faced with monster walls of white water (blown out big time).

i was using a shinn speedball baord and Naish 9M draft.

board was very skatey and you could chuck it about and it held up well once i got the knack of driving it of the fins and not the tail (very rounded board), Kite is very high aspect and likes to be flown (which i like) not a sit ,park and ride kite.

Jumps wise it throws you up and you just hang with very little drift, reminded me of the Ozone edge (which is a cracking kite) but with a little more ummpph.

chickend out with a dry suit but quite pleasant when the sun came through...

Nice day....not long to go with my new house on the beach at Ynyslas, so i should be out more often..another 10.000 times and i'll catch up with neil
